Fujitsu launches new high-speed image scanners

Fujitsu launches 8 new models of commercial image scanners in the “fi series”. All 8 new models, 4 ADF (1) “fi-8190”, “fi-8170”, “fi-8150” and “fi-8150U”, and 4 models equipped with a tray, “fi-8290”, “fi-8270”, “fi-8250” and “fi-8250U” are available.

The Fujitsu fi-8000 series image scanner is compact and the fastest in its class and demonstrates excellent productivity at 90 ppm / 180 ipm (duplex), on high-speed scanning with a large capacity tray loading up to 100 sheets at a time. Equipped with the world’s first (5) “Automatic Separation Control”, these new models scan large volumes of various documents (including passports and A3 sizes) smoothly. Users can comfortably scan without stopping to deal with power issues. Generate sharp, clear images excellent for data extraction and OCR processing with the new “Clear Image Capture”.

In addition to the USB3.2 interface, the fi series scanners support LAN connectivity, allowing either network connection and operation with a PC, or simply as a standalone scanner in a PC-less environment at the “PaperStream NX Manager” help.

To date, over 13 million image scanners have been shipped worldwide and efforts to pursue organizational efficiency continue.

1. Leading in its class with advanced scanning speeds and feeding technology in a compact size

Scan comfortably with the first Automatic separation control
which optimizes the paper separation torque according to the number of sheets
charged. Scanning a volume of up to 100 sheets at a time is also possible
with the large capacity tray. These characteristics, combined with the high speed
90 sheets per minute scans save time by preventing misfeeds and
interrupts during analysis.

Protect your documents with the world’s first paper protection technology

In addition to iSOP technology, the new models also feature the world’s first, Image monitoring Technology. With this technology, image skew is monitored in real time so that scans stop once image angles exceed the ‘safe’ range to prevent document damage. Sound and image technologies now combine to improve protection precision and reading comfort.

Supports a wide range of documents, from passports to bankbooks

The new manual feed mode allows the reading of copy forms, glued papers and documents folded in half in A3 size. Additionally, passports or booklets up to 7mm thick can also be read, without having to be sandwiched between carrier sheets.

Improved multi-feed detection to streamline reading cards and documents with labeling

Improved multi-feed detection is now available to make scanning easier. While conventional multi-feed detection simply detects double feeds with the ultrasonic sensors regardless of the document, enhanced multi-feed detection automatically identifies thick plastic cards and documents with stickers, photos or labels. adhesive labels to prevent detection as a double feed. Plus, users don’t need to switch profiles depending on the document, making it easy to scan mixed batches, whether it’s a mix of driver’s license and application documents.

2. Generates highly reliable image data for professional use

High definition images with new optical technologies

A new innovative optical technology, Clear image capture produces images ideal for data extraction and OCR processing with its special image correction processor. Producing highly accurate representations of the original scan, the single processor helps reduce startup times and power consumption.

Customers can familiarize themselves with conventional models using the Spectrum optimization function maintain equivalent image quality levels.

With the Overscan Control function, the 3 sensors detect the tips of documents placed for scanning so that scanning begins and ends at an optimal time. The feature also recognizes document skew and extends scan margins to fit the entire document. Thus, ensuring accurate image data without defects.

3. PaperStream NX Manager supports different operation modes according to customer needs.

In addition to the USB3.2 interface, the new models now support LAN connectivity (6). Scan without a PC and from web applications running on thin client terminals using PaperStream NX Manager (seven). Software installation on each device is not necessary and the PaperStream IP Network The function allows switching to a network connection without the need for manual operation. In addition, the generation of searchable PDF files is now available.
