Scanlab BV focuses on the evolution of polygon scanners

TecInvest Holding AG, the parent company of SCANLAB GmbH and Next Scan Technology BVBA, realigns its organization in the polygon scanner segment. Next Scan Technology (NST) will be integrated with the Puchheim-based scanning system experts in early 2022. SCANLAB’s experienced sales team will take care of product marketing and customer service. Operating as SCANLAB BV, the proven team of developers in Belgium will now be able to focus exclusively on the future evolution of polygon scanners.

Polygon scanning systems are renowned for their extremely high scanning speeds and are particularly well suited for line-by-line flat laser processing of various materials. By using polygon scanners, industrial productivity can be accelerated in applications such as the micro-patterning of touch screens and solar cells or the processing of electronic components.

The polygon scanner segment is a forward-looking field which, due to its technological complexity, places high demands on sales and development. In order to pool resources and better meet individual client needs in the future, TecInvest Holding has chosen to consolidate its capabilities in this segment. The former NST polygon competence center will be integrated into the SCANLAB group.

Operating under the new name SCANLAB BV and part of the SCANLAB development division, NST’s experienced R&D team based in Belgium will focus on the further development of the polygon scanning systems, and SCANLAB will take over the marketing, sales and support. “I see nothing but benefits in the reorganization of the polygon scanner business. We can now handle specific customer requests faster and more efficiently, and our technology experts are free to focus entirely on the technical side of the things,” says Dr. Holger Schlüter, Business Development Manager at SCANLAB GmbH and new contact for polygon scanners.
